Former Walgreens exec keynoting disability event
A former Walgreens executive is slated to speak tomorrow at an award celebration being produced by a nonprofit that advocates for people with disabilities.
Randy Lewis, the former head of supply chain and logistics at Walgreens, is the keynote speaker at the seventh-annual Ability Award celebration at 5:30 p.m. at the Midtown Center in Holland, at 96 W. 15th St.
The Ability Award celebration is an event hosted by the Holland-based Disability Network Lakeshore to honor people in the community who are “making progress in the advancement of creating inclusive communities” for people with disabilities.
The award recipient will be named at the event.
During his 17-year tenure that ended in 2013, Lewis created a program to hire people with disabilities at Walgreens distribution centers.
