Businesses kicking off Cocktail Week GR

More than 40 restaurants, bars and distilleries are participating in the third-annual Cocktail Week GR.

The event celebrating local spirits will be held from Nov. 8-19 at various locations throughout the city. The week is produced by Experience Grand Rapids.

Specialty menus and a full list of participants are online.

Participating local restaurants and venues will offer two Michigan cocktails and an shared appetizer for $25 or less. The public may also attend special events, spirits classes and distillery tours hosted by local distilleries, restaurants and the U.S. Bartending Guild-Grand Rapids chapter, or USBG-GR.

Sunday Funday Trolley Tour

At 1 p.m. on Nov. 12, the USBG-GR will host a tour of Grand Rapids via trolley to let riders try cocktails and shared plates at six Cocktail Week GR venues. Tickets are $35 in advance and are available online.

Grand Rapids Wine, Beer and Food Festival

The annual event taking place at DeVos Place Convention Center from Nov. 16-18 features a Hemingway Hall, where craft producers and mixologists will showcase their finest spirits, mixers, garnishes and cocktails. In conjunction with Cocktail Week GR, attendees may also take a variety of cocktail classes throughout the festival.
