College campus appoints president
A college campus in the region has a new president.
Baker College said last month it appointed Aaron Maike to the role at its Muskegon campus.
Maike has served as president of Baker College Owosso since 2014, having worked for the organization since 1997.
He previously served as president of Baker College Allen Park and as the Muskegon campus director of financial aid.
“I’m proud to continue serving Baker College on its Muskegon campus and honored to be recommended for the opportunity,” Maike said. “I look forward to working with and serving the students of Muskegon and the staff and West Michigan communities that support them.”
He holds a B.S. in accounting from Northern Michigan University, an M.B.A. in finance from Baker College and a Ph.D. in business administration from Trident University International.
Maike has been involved with multiple community organizations, including the Shiawassee Regional Chamber of Commerce, Clinton County Career Network, Owosso Memorial Healthcare and Owosso Rotary Club.
Founded in 1911, Baker College has 12 campuses and extension sites in Michigan, operates online programs and offers 100 undergraduate and graduate degrees.
Baker College employs more than 3,300 people and has a student body of 17,000.
