Valuation firm appoints director
A local valuation advisory firm has promoted one of its employees to director.
Grand Rapids-based Adamy Valuation Advisors said this month it appointed Meg Post to the role, effective immediately.
Post joined the firm as an intern in 2007 and was promoted to a full-time employee in 2008.
“I find it extremely fulfilling to serve trustees and business executives through corporate transactions and other ownership transition strategies, as well as expand my role in a client-focused and intellectually driven firm,” Post said.
Nick Adamy, managing director and president at Adamy Valuation, said Post’s promotion comes on the heels of firm-wide growth.
“Since completing our leadership transition a few years ago, we have been executing a focused growth strategy,” Adamy said. “As a result, we have roughly doubled our staff in the last 18 months, adding a Chicago office and a strategic partner in Lansing as well. When the time came to expand the leadership team to support this growth, Meg was a natural choice.”
Adamy said Post has “clear-eyed judgment and rock-solid ethics” in her dealings with clients.
“She lives our core values of independence, intellectual curiosity and developing our people, and she instills these values in her direct reports through mentorship and leading by example,” Adamy said.
Post advises Employee Stock Ownership Plan, or ESOP, trustees and fiduciaries on complex transactions involving ESOP implementations and sales of ESOP companies.
Adamy Valuation said she has worked with companies ranging in size from less than $5 million in revenues to more than $300 million, “across a broad array of manufacturing, distribution and service industries.”
Post provides leadership on projects such as mergers and acquisitions, succession planning, financial reporting and corporate strategic planning.
She is an accredited senior appraiser via the American Society of Appraisers and is currently pursuing an intangible asset designation.
Post serves in regional and national business organizations, including on the Programming and Young Professionals committees of the Western Michigan Chapter of the Association for Corporate Growth.
She is also a member of the ESOP Association and the Estate Planning Council of Grand Traverse Area.
In 2008, she earned a bachelor’s degree in finance from Grand Valley State University.
Founded in 1979, Adamy Valuation is in its second generation of leadership as a valuation firm.
Its team works with companies in a wide variety of industries across the U.S. and Canada.
