Home care company releases vacuum for pet hair
A local maker of home care products has released an upright vacuum for cleaning up pet hair.
Walker-based Bissell, a manufacturer of floor and upholstery care products, last month released its Pet Hair Eraser Lift-Off vacuum, which features an extension “wand” for tight spots and a detachable canister for cleaning stairs and above-floor surfaces.
The vacuum is designed to clean “pet messes,” including hair, dirt, dander and odors.
Bissell said the "lightweight" product is safe for use on carpets, hard floors and upholstery.
“Many of us are pet parents at Bissell, so we know pet messes aren’t limited to just main traffic areas,” said Nick Ellis, vacuums senior brand manager, Bissell.
“We needed a vacuum that could be transported to areas like the stairs, the couch and other spots in our homes our pets frequent.”
The vacuum is geared toward helping pet owners clean up pet fur without the fur getting wrapped around the brush roll, due to a “tangle-free” design.
Its extension wand with specialized pet tools cleans in "tight corners that traditional vacuums can’t," and the SmartSeal Allergen System with Febreze helps capture allergens and eliminate pet odors.
When users are finished cleaning, they can use the "hands-free" canister to drop the hair, dirt and debris straight into the trash.
