LaughFest announces another comedian
A familiar face is returning to Gilda’s LaughFest.
Actor and comedian Ron Funches will perform at Vander Mill Grand Rapids on March 9 at 7 p.m. and 9:30 p.m. for the eighth-annual “festival of laughter.”
The LaughFest veteran has done stand-up comedy on TBS’s “Conan O’Brien Show” and NBC’s “The Tonight Show with Jimmy Fallon.”
Funches has also done voiceovers for “BoJack Horseman,” “Bob’s Burgers,” “Home: Adventures with Tip & Oh” and the DreamWorks Animation film “Trolls.”
He has starred in a few television shows, such as NBC’s “Powerless” and “Undateable” and ABC’s “Black-ish.”
Funches was featured in the 2015 Will Farrell and Kevin Hart film “Get Hard” and had roles on Comedy Central’s “@midnight” game show, “Kroll Show” comedy series and “Drunk History” television series.
LaughFest is a 10-day event that will feature 100 artists, including Tiffany Haddish, John Mulaney and Rik Roberts, throughout 40 venues in Grand Rapids, Holland, Lowell and Gun Lake Casino in Wayland.
Some of the events include standup, improv, film and showcases.
Some of the events are free, but some events require tickets.
Tickets can be purchased online and at the Van Andel Arena and DeVos Place box offices.
