Tech company buys building
A tech company in the region is expanding into a new home that's nearly 400 percent larger than its current location.
Omega Computer Services, an IT business, purchased an 11,741-square-foot, single-story office building in Portage, at 5278 Lovers Lane.
The company plans to open its new office in July.
Omega is relocating from a 3,000-square-foot space in downtown Kalamazoo, needing a larger facility to accommodate a growing customer base and staff.
“Our firm is enthusiastic about the growth of our company in southwest Michigan and to move into this larger facility in this desirable location in Portage”, said Bill Wisser, president, Omega Computer Services.
Kara Schroeder of NAI Wisinski of West Michigan assisted Omega in the transaction.
Sandy Edwards of Callander Commercial represented the unnamed seller.
The sales price was not disclosed.
Omega Computer Services is a managed IT services company and has been serving clients in the Midwest for more than 20 years.
