Credit union completes $1.2M branch
A local credit union has built a new $1.2-million branch in the area.
Grand Rapids-based Adventure Credit Union will host a ribbon-cutting ceremony on Feb. 22 at 8:30 a.m. to celebrate the completion of its new-build project in Wyoming, at 5165 Wilson Ave. SW.
The 2,953-square-foot building is the result of the company’s plan to consolidate two “outdated” locations into a stand-alone building with drive-thru services, on-site parking and higher road visibility.
The groundbreaking was announced in June 2017.
Karen Wietzke, EVP at Adventure Credit Union, previously told the Business Journal the new building is “the continuation of our overall branch strategy — which provides the best locations and conveniences for our members.”
The bank features two drive-thru Interactive Teller Machines, or ITMs that also function as an ATM after-hours.
The interior houses two in-person tellers and one ITM. In-person loan services are also available.
Firms on the project
Grand Rapids-based Concept Design was the project’s architect.
Grand Rapids-based Orion Construction served as the project’s contractor.
The Wyoming branch marks the third project Orion Construction has completed for Adventure Credit Union.
“We are grateful for the relationship with Adventure Credit Union,” said Roger Rehkopf, president, Orion Construction.
