Grand Rapids chamber names Ambassador of the Year
The local chamber of commerce has honored an area businesswoman.
The Grand Rapids Area Chamber of Commerce has named Brenda Kimball of Arete Technology its 2017 Ambassador of the Year.
“Pride in ambassadorship and the chamber immediately come to mind when thinking about Brenda,” said Mark Allen, business director for the chamber. “She is engaged in multiple aspects of the chamber, going out of her way to provide first-class customer service to each and every member, and helping them navigate successfully through their membership.”
A member of the Ambassadors Committee since October 2015, Kimball has connected with new and current member organizations to share how the chamber can benefit their companies and employees.
“I am proud of how our chamber and their staff consistently go above and beyond to help local business members become and remain successful,” Kimball said. “The business connections, professional relationships and friendships I have had the opportunity to cultivate during my service as an ambassador have been a wonderful blessing for my business and for me personally, as well.”
Kimball represents Arete Technology, a family owned business and communication technology company.
Her 2017 ambassador accomplishments include perfect attendance at the monthly committee meetings, attendance at 26 chamber events, participation in numerous ribbon cuttings, mentoring new members and new ambassadors, and coordinating the volunteer efforts for the Michigan Association of Chamber Professionals state convention in October.
