Nonprofit producing Grand Rapids Pride Festival
The Grand Rapids Pride Festival has announced another headliner.
David Hernandez is a singer-songwriter who was a top-12 finalist on season seven of “American Idol” and has performed on “The Ellen Show,” “The Today Show,” MTV's “TRL,” “Entertainment Tonight” and at the Teen Choice Awards.
The festival, by the Grand Rapids Pride Center, will be from noon to 10 p.m. on June 16 in downtown Grand Rapids at Calder Plaza, at 300 Monroe Ave. NW.
The festival has a “30 & fabulous” theme to honor its 30th year. The event will feature live music, a street fair with local vendors, family friendly activities, food, beer tents and a drag show.
The festival previously named Betty Who, the Australian singer-songwriter best known for her 2016 single “I Love You Always Forever,” as a headliner. She recently released a new album, “The Valley,” and is in the middle of a national tour.
The third headliner will be announced within the next couple weeks.
Tickets are $8 for general admission and $50 for VIP. They can be purchased online or the day of the event.
All proceeds from the event will support the Grand Rapids Pride Center.
