Physical therapy practice opening clinic
A new physical therapy clinic is opening in the area.
Northern Physical Therapy, based in West Michigan, said last week it will open a clinic on April 2 in Allendale, at 6173 Lake Michigan Dr. The location is its ninth clinic.
The 1,300-square-foot clinic will treat people suffering from back and chronic pain, post-surgery recovery, arthritis, pelvic issues and neurological disorders.
In addition, a team of sports rehabilitation experts will be available to work with student and adult athletes on sprains, strains, localized pain and sports injuries.
Northern will also offer its most popular fitness classes, including RunFit 5k training, later this year.
Terri Jeurink will serve as the clinic director.
With 14 years of experience in physical therapy, Jeurink is a Certified Mulligan Practitioner and is certified in pelvic floor rehabilitation.
“I’ve called Allendale home for a number of years, so I’m thrilled to be able to treat my fellow community members,” Jeurink said. “As our team began to establish relationships with local health care providers and business owners, we felt we could make an impact and positively contribute to the Allendale community.”
The location also has a physical therapist and a patient coordinator, and there are plans to hire an additional physical therapist.
The practice’s Coopersville location has continued to grow, and the company was seeing a number of clients from the Allendale area, so the owners, Gina Otterbein and Janis Kemper, saw a need to expand, according to a Northern spokesperson.
Northern is scheduling new patients and offering free consultations for its grand opening in Allendale.
Northern Physical Therapy joined the Ivy Rehab Network in 2017.
Founded in 2003, Ivy Rehab Network is a network of multiple brands of more than 90 outpatient physical and occupational therapy clinics in the Northeast, Midwest and Southeast.
