A local window and door company has a new residential showroom in the area.

Grand Rapids-based Architectural Openings & Access, or AOA, said it split the location of its residential and commercial divisions to accommodate growth.

The residential division, AOA Design Center, moved this week into a newly renovated building in Belmont, at 5716 W. River Dr. NE.

The AOA Design Center offers models from several brands: Marvin Windows and Doors; Integrity Windows and Doors; Infinity Windows and Doors; Therma-tru Doors; and Windsor Windows and Doors.

The building features meeting spaces with large TV screens, where trade professionals can meet with clients and view prints and project specifications.

Customers can also buy direct from the showroom.

“The design center will give West Michigan homeowners the opportunity to see and feel a vast array of window and door products,” said Bob Spoelstra, general manager, AOA Design Center.

“Rather than having the products in generic displays, we’ve installed them in openings with high-end interior and exterior building materials. This gives homeowners an opportunity to experience what it’s like to operate each unit, rather than see it in a booklet or view a small hand sample.”

AOA is keeping its commercial division at its original location in Grand Rapids, at 2050 Turner Ave. NE, where it offers hollow metal frames, doors and hardware.
