Construction firm adds to team
A local construction firm has brought on four new team members.
Grand Rapids-based Owen-Ames-Kimball, or O-A-K, said last month it hired Brandon Hill and Mike Kozicki as project superintendents, Barry Kooistra as assistant project manager and Fidel Salas as project engineer.
Each person was hired to fill a new position within the firm.
Hill brings a background in construction from a very young age and has previously served O-A-K as an intern for two consecutive summers. He holds a B.S. in construction management from Ferris State University and recently completed his OSHA 30-hour construction certification.
Kozicki has 12 years of experience in commercial construction leadership and an extensive background as a laborer, carpenter, foreman and superintendent.
Kooistra has completed his OSHA 30-hour construction, OSHA 10-hour construction and OSHA 10-hour general industry certifications, as well as earned a B.S. in construction management from Ferris State.
These three will serve O-A-K’s Grand Rapids team.
Salas will serve on O-A-K’s Kalamazoo team.
He brings a background in engineering, finance and business management, as well as experience in both renewable energy and construction materials testing. He holds an American Concrete Institute certification and a Michigan Department of Transportation Density Technology certification.
