Home care company rolls out multi-surface cleaner
A local maker of home care products has released an upright cleaning machine that can vacuum and wash both hard and soft surfaces.
Walker-based Bissell, a maker of floor and upholstery care products, said this month it is rolling out its CrossWave Pet Pro multi-surface cleaner.
The machine is designed for users with pets.
“Pets make messes that can add time to your daily routine and sometimes require multiple tools to clean up after. CrossWave Pet Pro eliminates that,” said Carolyn Pearson, product manager, Bissell.
The CrossWave Pet Pro is available at retailers nationwide starting at $299.99.
The CrossWave Pet Pro vacuums and washes floors at the same time and “seamlessly switches” between cleaning sealed hard floors and area rugs, using electric “smart touch controls.”
It features a “tangle-free” brush roll that can handle hair up to eight inches long.
For other messes, such as cat litter or food and water dish spills, CrossWave Pet Pro sucks up the debris, while the cleaning solution washes the floor.
CrossWave Pet Pro uses a two-tank system that separates the fresh water and formula mix from the dirty water. A strainer in the dirty tank traps pet hair, so it can be emptied later.
The machine is designed to use Bissell’s Multi-Surface Pet with Febreze product, which Bissell said is “earth-friendly and safe for pets and kids,” as it contains no heavy metals, phosphates or dyes.
Founded in 1876, Bissell Homecare develops floor and upholstery care products aimed at making cleaning easier.
Now in its fourth generation of family leadership, the company supplies households across the globe with vacuums, sweepers, carpet-cleaning machines, hard floor cleaners and cleaning formulas.
