A new $4-million hotel is opening in a Grand Rapids suburb.
Best Western Plus Grand Castle Inn & Suites is opening in Grandville, at 3825 28th St. SW.
Hotel management is hosting a grand-opening celebration on June 7 at 3:30 p.m, which will include food and soft drinks and a drawing to win a complimentary night’s stay.
There is no connection with the nearby Grand Castle apartment complex, at 3847 28th St. SW.
The hotel’s owner is Grandville-based Pranam, which is owned by Suresh Patel.
At three-stories high, the property features 29 “deluxe” guest rooms with two queen beds, as well as 51 “upscale” two-room suites.
Each guest room is equipped with a 49” flat-screen television and complimentary wireless internet access.
Hotel amenities include a hot complimentary breakfast, heated indoor pool, hot tub and fitness center with nearly a dozen pieces of equipment.
With operations headed by Nicole Jobes, the hotel is hiring for 15 employees.
The new hotel is a member of GR Hospitality, a company that manages hotels and restaurants in West Michigan.
As a member, the Best Western Plus Grand Castle Inn & Suites will benefit from a global reservations system, as well as advertising, marketing, purchasing, training and interior design consulting services.
Construction on the hotel began in December.
The architect on the project was Wyoming-based Richard Postema Associates.
The interior design was done by Best Western.
