Health system CEO stepping down
The leader of a health system in the region is leaving her post.
Kathy Young is stepping down from her role at Kalamazoo-based Borgess Health, said Christine Gleason, director of public relations for Ascension, the Catholic nonprofit health system that owns Borgess.
Gleason said today Dr. Thomas Stover is acting as the interim president and CEO until the position can be filled.
A nationwide search will begin within two weeks, she said.
Stover is the former president and CEO of Cleveland Clinic Akron General.
Ascension had no further comment on Young's departure.
