A West Michigan car dealer has added another out-of-state dealership to its portfolio.

Kalamazoo-based Zeigler Automotive Group said it acquired McCarthy Ford of North Riverside in Illinois, the company’s 26th dealership and its fourth Ford dealership.

Zeigler purchased the dealership at 2100 Harlem Ave. in North Riverside, west of Chicago, from owners Ray LeFevour and John LeFevour for an undisclosed sum.

The deal will close today.

The location will re-open tomorrow as Zeigler Ford of North Riverside.

Zeigler will retain the current dealership’s staff and bring Val Kholodovsky on board as general manager.

“We feel that this store has great potential,” said Aaron Zeigler, president, Zeigler Automotive Group. “With everything we know about this business and with the community’s support, we can really make this a successful store.”
