A local workplace design firm has added six new members to its team.

Grand Rapids-based Custer said last week the new hires joined the firm this spring as it continues to grow.

“We are very pleased to welcome our new hires to the Custer team, and we look forward to their contributions to our clients and projects,” said Todd Custer, president, Custer. “Each new hire brings unique skills and experience that will help us continue our growth.”

Quinton Adkins has been brought on as a project manager. He brings almost a decade of experience in project management and customer service. He was previously a project manager for Nucraft Furniture.

Ashley Cook will serve as Custer’s newest staff accountant. She was previously an associate at Maner Costerisan, an accounting firm in Lansing.

Kirk Griffes has returned to Custer as a senior systems design engineer after working as a technology architect at Steelcase. He previously served in Custer’s technology department as a collaborative technology specialist.

Patrick Lankford has been added to Custer’s technology team as an AV programmer. He previously worked for Secant Technology for seven years as a programmer.

Bill Spaulding will also serve on the technology team as an AV services technician, helping install audio and visual devices for customers.

Maddie Smit was hired through Custer’s internship program and serves as marketing coordinator. She will provide copywriting and graphic design support for the company’s marketing team.
