Freight train derails
Police said about 15 freight train cars derailed while traveling through a West Michigan city.
The Kalamazoo Department of Public Safety said the train was not carrying passengers, and some cars were empty.
No injuries have been reported, and there's no evidence of hazardous materials being released.
The derailment was reported around 6:50 a.m. this morning.
Public Safety Chief Karianne Thomas said it's a "big inconvenience."
Downtown is still open for business.
