Steakburger and frozen custard chain opens location
A fast-casual restaurant chain that serves steakburgers and frozen custard has opened its fourth location in the area.
Joe Reber opened yesterday a Freddy’s Frozen Custard & Steakburgers franchise in Comstock Park, at 4076 Alpine Ave. NW.
“We take pride in being a part of the community and being a good neighbor to the residents and businesses in the area,” Reber said, adding that the brand supports community activities for local schools and nonprofits.
The restaurant chain serves lean ground-beef steakburgers, Vienna beef hot dogs and crispy shoestring fries, as well as chocolate and vanilla frozen custard treats.
The location seats 90 people and has a drive-thru.
It is open from 10:30 a.m.-10 p.m. Sunday-Thursday and 10:30 a.m.-11 p.m. Friday and Saturday.
The other Freddy’s locations in West Michigan are in Plainfield Township, Cascade Township and Standale.
Co-founded in Wichita, Kansas in 2002 by Scott Redler and Bill, Randy and Freddy Simon, Freddy’s has more than 300 restaurants in 31 states.
