Kalamazoo-Battle Creek airport renews deal with Clear Channel Airports
The airport advertising company Clear Channel Airports is continuing its business with the Kalamazoo-Battle Creek airport.
Clear Channel Airports said today it signed a five-year renewal, with an optional five-year extension, with Kalamazoo | Battle Creek International Airport to provide brands with airport advertising.
The new agreement began May 17, with media upgrades to begin later this year.
Clear Channel Airports has provided the airport with its media network since 2008.
The airport advertising is meant to appeal to leisure travelers, business travelers and local residents.
The new program will include targeting the medical, pharmaceutical and brewery industries.
A recent Nielsen study found frequent flyers are highly responsive to airport advertising, with 80 percent noticing the media and 42 percent taking action that includes visiting a website, going to a store or learning more about the brand, according to Clear Channel Airports.
Nineteen percent of frequent flyers bought a product they saw advertised at the airport.
