Nonprofit hires executive director

A nonprofit that serves people in emergencies has a new executive director for West Michigan.

Tiffany Page began the role at the American Red Cross of West Michigan in May after spending five years as the director of community outreach for Catholic Charities West Michigan.

Previously, Page managed volunteer programs with Harbor Hospice and Mercy Health St. Mary’s and was an account management liaison for the Chicago-based insurance broker Aon Benfield.

“Tiffany’s local knowledge and passion for our mission adds a great deal of strength to all our community programs,” said Kimberly Burton, CEO, American Red Cross Michigan Region.

“Local disasters happen each day. Our work helping families recover and move forward with their lives requires the type of dedication that Tiffany brings to all she does.”

Page is a board member for the Catholic Charities Emergency Food and Shelter Program.

She has been a board member for the Volunteer Management Association of Western Michigan and co-chair of the Food and Nutrition Coalition for the Kent County Essential Needs Task Force.

Page is replacing Mike Mitchell, who took a job in January as the executive director of CelticMKE in Wauwatosa, Wisconsin.

Red Cross

The American Red Cross of West Michigan serves people experiencing emergency situations in 12 counties in the region.

Last year, Michigan Red Cross volunteers provided food and shelter to 3,532 families and provided first aid, CPR and water safety classes to 121,277 individuals.

In Michigan, more than 5,000 volunteers help communities across the state and may assist in national disaster relief operations.
