Cleanroom manufacturer relocates to Grand Rapids
A company that designs and builds cleanrooms to ISO standards has moved its headquarters from a suburb into the city.
Angstrom Technology has moved from 901 Northland Drive NE in Rockford to a newly built facility at 3509 Three Mile Road NW in Grand Rapids.
Construction began in May 2017 and ended in December 2017. The project cost was not disclosed.
The company plans to sell or lease its previous headquarters.
Matt Isard, president of Angstrom Technology, said the company had been experiencing rapid growth and needed more space.
“(We are) very excited to move into the new facility, with better access to the Grand Rapids market, more square footage to run operations and a better geographical location to attract talented employees,” he said.
Amenities and employees
The 20,000-square-foot building includes Angstrom’s cleanroom, modular office design and build firm, and corporate office.
It houses 22 employees who work in sales, operations, project management, engineering and administration.
Firms on the project
Grand Rapids-based D&K Engineered Construction was the project’s architect and contractor.
Spring Lake-based Interiors by Karianne and Becky was the interior designer.
Founded in 1989, Angstrom Technology provides cleanroom consultation, design, production, installation, equipment and repair services for a variety of industries, including manufacturing.
The company does production from its headquarters facility in Grand Rapids.
