Registration is still open for next week’s West Michigan Corporate Challenge.

West Michigan businesses can register until Friday to participate in friendly sports competitions.

The inaugural event, presented by Priority Health and other sponsors, will be held at various venues, such as the Art Van Sports Complex, throughout greater Grand Rapids from Sept. 5-8.

The sports challenge will begin next Wednesday at 12 p.m. at Rosa Parks Circle, where teams are invited to the Kickoff Corporate Wellness lunch, which will include 30 minutes of physical activity.

Teams, made up of co-workers, can compete in numerous events: archery tag; bubble soccer; disc golf; football accuracy toss; kickball; obstacle-course relay; parallel parking; soccer shootout; tailgating competition; tug of war; uniform contest; and golf scramble.

Teams will be awarded points and the first-place winner will be given the Grand Champions Trophy for their company.

The schedule of events is online.

Information on registration is at the event's website.
