Brewery rolls out ale in cans
A brewery in the area is now distributing one of its award-winning ales in cans.
Rockford Brewing Company is sending out Rogue River Brown, an English-style brown ale, in six-packs of 12-ounce cans, which can now be found on store shelves statewide.
“We chose to can and distribute this beer because it’s been a customer and staff favorite for a long time,” said Seth Rivard, co-owner, Rockford Brewing Company. “We want to be able to show craft beer enthusiasts across the state why this beer has won multiple awards.”
Rogue River Brown won two bronze awards at the Great American Beer Festival in Denver in 2015 and 2017. A panel of beer experts from all over the world judged over 8,000 entries in a blind taste test.
Rogue River Brown features caramel, dark chocolate and roasted malt flavors.
The can design sports the pattern of a brown trout to pay homage to the brewery’s passion for nature and outdoor activities.
Rockford Brewing Company has also won Small Brewpub and Small Brewpub Brewer of the Year and a silver medal in the classic Irish-style dry stout category for its Sheehan’s Stout at the Great American Beer Festival in 2017.
