PR firm appoints partner
A local public relations firm’s leadership team is growing.
Grand Rapids-based Lambert said this month it named Matt Jackson a partner in the firm and managing director of its consumer/consumer packaged goods practice.
Jackson is joining founder and CEO Jeff Lambert, Don Hunt and Bill Nowling as partners in Lambert.
The firm recently completed a re-brand from its original name, Lambert, Edwards & Associates.
The consumer/CPG leadership position is a new one for the firm.
It was created to provide enhanced leadership and greater focus on the growing industry segment.
Jackson’s most recent position was senior director of the consumer group practice, which serves consumer brands, retail clients and consumer packaged goods manufacturers on local, regional and national levels.
Jackson is a long-time employee of Lambert. He has spent 14 years at the firm and more than 20 years in the marketing and public relations industry, dealing with consumer clients in the food and beverage, furniture, apparel, retail, health and beauty sectors.
“Our business is built on smart and creative people, and Matt is perhaps our best example of the power of investing in our team,” Jeff Lambert said.
“He came to us with a marketing background that 15 years ago represented a bit of a stretch from our public relations and investor relations core. We took a flier on this ad guy at the time, but thanks to Matt’s growth and leadership, Lambert has evolved to become an integrated marketing agency. Matt’s immersion in every aspect of the marcom field during the past decade and a half and his ability to attract and grow national brand clients makes him the ideal candidate to lead our integrated work, and he is well deserving of partnership.”
Prior to joining Lambert, Jackson served as marketing director for a regional health care system and in account management at a regional advertising agency.
He holds a bachelor’s degree in marketing from Michigan State University.
