College hosting breakfast on workplace diversity

A local college is producing a business breakfast this week focused on diversity.

Cornerstone University will host Diversity in the Workplace: It's Non-Negotiable this Thursday at 7:30 a.m. at the school’s Gainey Conference Center in Grand Rapids, at 1001 E. Beltline Ave. NE.

The free event will feature a panel discussion on workplace diversity by four professionals.

The discussion will include biblical foundations for diversity, challenges to achieving diversity in the workplace, opportunities to raise awareness and ways to improve teamwork and innovation in diverse teams.

The panel will be moderated by Jeff Savage, associate dean of business, professional and graduate studies, Cornerstone University.

The event is part of Cornerstone's bi-annual business breakfast series.
