Mall hosting Employment Expo
More than 30 employers will attend a job fair next week at a local mall to recruit for more than 100 positions.
Woodland Mall in Kentwood, at 3195 28th St. SE, is hosting its Employment Expo on Oct. 11 from 1-8 p.m.
There will be numerous mall retailers represented at the event, as well as a variety of organizations not located at the mall.
Attendees will be able to apply for jobs and can expect on-site interviews.
Retailers: Altar'd State, Bath & Body Works, H&M, Hollister, J.Crew, JCPenney, JCPenney Portrait Studio, Justice, Macy's, Payless Shoesource, Piercing Pagoda, PINK, Pottery Barn, Premier Dead Sea Skincare, Soma, Starbucks, Sleeping Tiger Imports, Tradehome Shoes, Victoria's Secret and Wetzel's Pretzels.
Many Woodland Mall retailers will participate with seasonal employment opportunities as they gear up for the holiday rush, as well as permanent positions, including full-time management roles.
Hourly wages for entry-level sales associate positions at the mall range from $12 to $14. The average salary for management positions is $55,000.
Other organizations: Adecco, Diversified Medical Staffing, Express Employment Professionals, Forge Industrial Staffing, GPM Investments, Health Care Associates & Community Care Givers, Liberty National, Northern Staffing Services, SpartanNash, Spectrum Health, UM Wireless and UPS.
SpartanNash is looking to fill positions such as part-time and full-time warehouse selectors paying $15 an hour, managers and associates at Family Fare and D&W stores and corporate opportunities.
UM Wireless, a Sprint authorized retailer, is looking to hire sales reps for retail locations.
