Bank opens branch downtown
A bank in the area has opened a branch in downtown Grand Rapids.
Sparta-based ChoiceOne Bank held a grand opening yesterday for its newest branch, at 330 Market Ave. SW.
The bank purchased and renovated the building earlier this year.
In addition to personal and business banking services, the branch offers drive-thru video tellers and drive-thru ATMs.
“We are thrilled to open our full-service, state-of-the-art branch office in downtown Grand Rapids,” said Kelly Potes, president and CEO, ChoiceOne Bank.
He said despite the shift toward digital banking, ChoiceOne believes customers still want a face-to-face experience when discussing loans and other financial services.
“Our mission is to provide superior service, high-quality advice and show our utmost respect to everyone we meet,” Potes said.
The bank is open from 9 a.m.-5 p.m. Monday-Friday and from 9 a.m.-noon Saturday. Drive-thru video tellers are available from 8:30 a.m.-6 p.m. Monday-Friday and from 9 a.m.-noon Saturday.
ChoiceOne Bank — a subsidiary of ChoiceOne Financial Services (OTC Pink: COFS) — has offices in Kent, Ottawa, Muskegon and Newaygo counties.
The bank had about $630 million in assets as of July 25, 2018.
