Brewery releasing two new seasonal porters
A seasonal porter is back in time for fall and coming to a brewery downtown in two new varieties.
Grand Rapids-based B.O.B.’s Brewery is releasing its seasonal Peanut Butter Porter and Barrel Aged Peanut Butter Porter, along with its new Peanut Butter and Jelly Porter and Salted Carmel Peanut Butter Porter.
All versions will be available at a special release party this Friday from 5-10 p.m. at B.O.B.’s Beer Garden and Gilly’s Smokehouse.
The event will feature a special pig roast menu, Peanut Butter Porter cocktails, Peanut Butter Porter on tap and a special release of the brewery’s 2018 Barrel Aged Robert the Barrel on tap.
B.O.B.’s Brewery will also sell a limited amount of four-packs of 22-ounce bottles with each variety of Peanut Butter Porter.
The pig roast comes complimentary with the advance purchase of four-packs, and the new Peanut Butter and Jelly Porter and Salted Caramel Peanut Butter Porter are only available in the variety packs.
Peanut Butter Porter and Barrel Aged Peanut Butter Porter will be on tap at The B.O.B. from Oct. 19 through St. Patrick's Day.
“We wanted to celebrate the Grand Rapids beer community and their enthusiasm for local beer releases,” said John Svoboda, head brewer, B.O.B.’s Brewery. “Releasing two new flavors plus a communal pig roast seemed like the ultimate way to thank and celebrate Beer City, U.S.A.”
Pre-orders of four-packs and tickets to the release party are available online.
