Brewery releases spiced porter
A local brewery has released a new spiced porter.
The brewing team at Grand Rapids Brewing Co., in collaboration with the American Culinary Federation Greater Grand Rapids, has released Bab Bou Jeloud.
The spiced porter is meant to evoke sensory experiences inspired by local chef David Olson's travels through Moroccan spice markets, according to the brewery’s Facebook page.
The spiced porter comes in at 6.9-percent ABV.
Flavors include cinnamon, cardamom, nutmeg, ginger, chocolate, vanilla, coffee and dates, recalling Moroccan coffee and chocolate-based beverages.
Bab Bou Jeloud is currently available on draft and in 22-ounce bottles at the Grand Rapids Brewing Co. taproom downtown, at 1 Ionia Ave. SW.
