A law firm in the area has added a new attorney.

Forest Hills-based Alles Law said last month it hired Chris Shourds to work in its estate planning practice.

“We are thrilled to welcome Chris to our team,” said Tim Alles, founder and managing partner, Alles Law. “His background in and deep knowledge of estate administration is the perfect complement to our growing estate planning practice.”

Most recently, Shourds practiced in San Diego, where he focused on post-death matters and estate planning.

He has worked on issues ranging from simple probate matters to complex estate administrations.

“Chris is a rare combination of compassion and attention to detail, so he’s able to offer personal and understandable legal advice,” said Jordan Bush, shareholder, Alles Law. “He simplifies the complex for his clients, on even the most intricate legal matters.”

He holds a B.A. in business administration from California State University, Long Beach and a J.D., cum laude, from the California Western School of Law.
