A locally based law firm is its presence in Midland.

Grand Rapids-based Warner Norcross + Judd said last week it will add 1,250 square feet of space to its 7,500-square-foot office in downtown Midland, at 715 E. Main St.

Warner Norcross + Judd said the expansion will help it meet the needs of its “growing client base” in the market.

The projected move-in date for the new space is Dec. 1.

The new space will yield four offices and two conference rooms to create more room for the 20 attorneys and support staff who work at the Midland office on a weekly basis.

Construction of the expansion project will be headed by Midland-based Three Rivers Corporation.

“We are well ahead of our growth plans for the Midland office and found ourselves needing more space much sooner than we thought,” said Jonathan Lauderbach, an executive partner based at the firm's Midland office. “This addition will meet our short-term needs for new office and meeting space, but we anticipate we will need to expand further in the years ahead."

The firm opened its original Midland office in 2013 with two attorneys.

“Warner has invested in the success of this office, which our clients in the Great Lakes Bay Region appreciate,” Lauderbach said. “It’s gratifying that we have been so warmly embraced by the business community.”

Warner Norcross + Judd has several other offices in the state: Holland, Muskegon, Kalamazoo, Lansing, Southfield and Clinton Township.
