Winery opens suburban tasting room
A West Michigan winery has opened a new tasting room in a Grand Rapids suburb.
Local fans of St. Julian Winery don’t have far to go now, as the Paw Paw-based company has opened a new location north of Rockford, at 4425 14 Mile Rd. NE.
The tasting room features the full selection of St. Julian wine, ciders and spirits, as well as retail space, a tasting bar and a small private room for gatherings and meetings.
“The Grand Rapids and Rockford area have seen an explosion in growth in the recent years, especially in the hospitality, restaurant, brewery and distillery areas,” said Nancie Oxley, VP and winemaker, St. Julian Winery.
“During this growth, we have been hearing how many people in the area would enjoy seeing more opportunities to enjoy the great wines that Michigan has to offer and even more importantly, that they would love to have a St. Julian location closer to the Grand Rapids area.”
Regular hours are from 10 a.m. to 8 p.m. Monday through Saturday and from 11 a.m. to 7 p.m. on Sunday.
St. Julian Winery announced plans to open locations in Rockford and Troy back in April, the Business Journal previously reported. The Troy location is now open as well.
It also operates tasting rooms in Dundee, Frankenmuth and Union Pier.
