Marketing firm hires director of sales
A local strategic branding and marketing firm has named its new sales leader.
Grand Rapids-based Deksia said last week it hired Ken Fortier as its director of sales.
Fortier is tasked with growing the firm's sales force, reaching out to new and emerging small businesses and helping entrepreneurs with their business goals.
“Deksia has grown to date through strong word-of-mouth relationships, but in order to scale, we need a strategic business development program, which Ken can help us organize,” said Aaron VanderGalien, senior partner, Deksia.
“Ken has experience growing service organizations, which will help us reach more small businesses, entrepreneurs and CEOs who need our advanced marketing programs and experience.”
Fortier has 30 years of consulting and business development experience.
Previously, he was the VP of sales and marketing at REV Business Solutions, owner and CEO of the telecommunications company Quantum Leap for 10 years and a candidate for the Michigan House of Representatives 73rd District.
Fortier is also the author of the book “NetPlus Connections,” which was published in 2012.
“I deeply appreciate their innovative approach — built on research, strategy and proven ROI,” Fortier said.
He holds a B.A. in business and management from Davenport University.
