A West Michigan hard cider maker is releasing new packaging for some of its products.

Fennville-based Virtue Cider said yesterday it will roll out its Michigan Cherry in six-packs of 12-oz cans and The Mitten in 500-ml bottles, along with two variants: Cherry Mitten and Maple Mitten.

Michigan Cherry was launched in summer 2017 and is made with various kinds of Michigan-grown apples, aged in French oak barrels and blended with Michigan cherries.

Virtue Cider will host a release party for the new Michigan Cherry cans on Nov. 10, from noon to 7 p.m., at the Virtue Cider Farm, at 2170 62nd St.

Michigan Cherry is currently available on draft, and the new packaging will be distributed throughout Michigan, Illinois, Indiana, Wisconsin, Ohio, Pennsylvania and New York.

Virtue’s bourbon-barrel-aged cider is also back for the sixth year in a row. The Mitten will be released for the first time in 500-ml bottles at Virtue Cider Farm on Nov. 17, from noon to 7 p.m.

Virtue Cider's bourbon-barrel series will be available in limited quantities on tap and in bottles throughout the company’s distribution footprint.
