A residential real estate brokerage is growing its reach in the region.

Cascade Township-based Greenridge Realty said this month it acquired Hastings-based Thornapple Real Estate, at 309 S. Jefferson St.

Thornapple Real Estate specialized in residential, commercial and vacant land transactions.

The deal brings Greenridge’s presence to 23 locations and over 450 agents across West Michigan.

Pat Doezema, the former owner of Thornapple Real Estate, will now serve as managing broker of Greenridge Hastings.

All current Thornapple employees are also staying on board. The firm had six employees, according to its website.

“Our people and the service they provide aren’t going anywhere,” Doezema said. “But our clients will enjoy the improved marketing we can provide for their listings and increased support we can offer if they are looking for homes or property outside of our immediate area.”

Greenridge said its latest acquisition will give it stronger footing in Barry County and markets southeast of Grand Rapids.

“Pat’s group is a wonderful addition to the Greenridge family,” said Adam Paarlberg, VP of sales, Greenridge Realty. “We admire the work they’ve been doing in Barry County and look forward to helping them grow their impact in the area in the years to come.”

Greenridge Realty is now in its second generation of leadership.

Management has transitioned from principal owners Tom Paarlberg and Chip Perschbacher to their sons Adam Paarlberg and Walter Perschbacher.
