A Grand Rapids-based law firm has made history.

For the first time ever, Warner Norcross + Judd has welcomed its first all-women class of attorneys this fall.

In previous years, the firm said women made up about half of the classes.

The class is made up of eight associate attorneys, with several of them being former interns at the firm.

Six of the eight associates are practicing at the firm's Grand Rapids office: Ojone Ameadaji, Alexandra Chitwood, Sarah Harper, Brianna Richardson, Nicole Samuel and Kaitlin Sheets; Nina Lucido is at the Clinton Township office, and Ewelina Sawicka is at the Southfield office.
