A car wash chain in the region has a new chief operating officer.

Alex Lemmen will now serve as COO of Tommy’s Express, as well as Tommy Car Wash Systems.

Lemmen will be responsible for helping both companies under the Tommy’s brand navigate the growth of the Tommy’s Express car wash franchise and maintain momentum and production moving forward.

Previously, Lemmen served for five years as a management consultant at the Boston Consulting Group, a global management consulting firm.

His former responsibilities focused on the global consumer goods and retail sectors, primarily concentrated in Latin America and the U.S.

He holds a B.B.A. from the University of Michigan Stephen M. Ross School of Business.

Tommy’s Car Wash Systems was founded in Holland in 1991 and is a supplier of car wash equipment and facility designs.

Tommy’s launched Tommy’s Express in 2016 as a national car wash franchise that utilizes Tommy’s equipment.

There are eight Tommy’s Express sites operating in the U.S., with 100 more in the pipeline, the chain said.
