A health system has opened a new primary care and urgent care facility in the region.

Mercy Health began serving patients last week at its $12-million facility in Muskegon Township, at 2006 Holton Rd.

The 30,000-square-foot facility also includes lab and X-ray services, and a pharmacy will open there in 2019.

Mercy Health said the project was completed for patient convenience, bringing together three area practices with diagnostic and specialty services to allow for care in one location.

Around 70 staff work at the clinic in various roles: providers, nurses, lab, X-ray, patient access, security and administration.

The facility has 15 providers who all transferred from other Mercy Health Physician Partners locations.

Dr. Tina Tanner is the medical director of the facility.

The are several other doctors at the location: Dr. Shelley Anderson, Dr. Saundra Blanchard, Dr. David Wilson, Dr. Gerald Brennan, Dr. Jonathan Vanderslik and Dr. Justin Davies.

The facility’s providers also include certified family nurse practitioner Eliza Sudbury, family nurse practitioner Patricia Wangerin and certified physician assistants Heather Burnside and Ben Newberry.

People can schedule an appointment at the facility by phone at 231-672-3333 or online.

The project was financed through Mercy Health’s parent company, Livonia-based Trinity Health.

Firms on the project

Grand Rapids-based TowerPinkster served as the project’s architect and interior designer.

Walker-based Triangle Associates was the project’s general contractor.
