Kent County is holding three community forums to gain input from residents on the development of its strategic master plan.

All forums are from 6-7:30 p.m. this month at several locations, beginning this week.

The county said its 2019-23 master plan, planned for approval early next year, is meant to better reflect changing demographics, economics and needs of the county.

All three meetings will cover the same information.

Kent County Administrator/Controller Wayman Britt will address the current plan, approved in 2013, and residents will discuss their thoughts on goals they think should be included in the county’s next plan.

“Community engagement is absolutely integral to the success of Kent County,” Britt said. “It is important for us to hear the thoughts and ideas from our communities as we renew our strategic plan and effectively plan for the future.”

Each event is limited to the first 100 registered individuals.

Public Sector Consultants, a Lansing-based research and project management firm, is hosting the forums.

Residents can register online or by calling Diane Kelly at (517) 484-4954.
