Dragon’s Milk opens new distribution
A local brewery is storming into new markets.
New Holland Brewing Company has begun distributing its flagship Dragon’s Milk Bourbon Barrel Stout to Louisiana and Arkansas, growing New Holland’s distribution footprint to 40 states.
Dragon’s Milk and Dragon’s Milk Reserves are currently the only New Holland beers available in these states.
“Dragon’s Milk is the top selling craft stout and continues to defy category sales trends,” said Joel Petersen, vice president of sales for New Holland Brewing Company. “We’ve been bottling Dragon’s Milk for 17 years and continue to attract new fans who appreciate the complex flavors of this beer, much like they experience with wine or spirits.”
The release into Louisiana and Arkansas follows New Holland’s extensive rebranding of its popular stout, including a complete package redesign, the launch of its own website and Instagram account and the ongoing “Share the Legend” story-telling project, which the Business Journal previously covered.
Dragon’s Milk is aged in Kentucky Bourbon barrels and is available on draft and in single 22-ounce bottles and four-packs of 12-ounce bottles.
While New Holland works to ensure Dragon’s Milk is available year-round, the brewery also offers limited Dragon’s Milk Reserve flavors. Currently, Banana Coconut, S’mores and Orange Chocolate are available on tap and on store shelves.
