Law firm adds to team
A pair of new attorneys have joined a local law firm.
Grand Rapids-based Mika Meyers hired Regina Gilmour and Curtis Underwood as associate attorneys at its Grand Rapids office, the firm said last fall.
Mika Meyers, founded in 1950, also has offices in Caledonia, Rockford and Manistee.
The firm has 44 attorneys.
Gilmour focuses her practice on civil litigation, labor and employment and municipal law.
Gilmour has interned at the Berry Moorman law firm and the Wayne County Prosecutor’s Office.
She is a member of the Grand Rapids Bar Association and State Bar of Michigan.
She’s also a member of the Special Olympics Michigan Emerging Leader Advisory Council.
She holds a B.A., magna cum laude, in English and history and an M.S. in management from the University of Notre Dame and a J.D. from the University of Michigan Law School, which she earned in 2018.
Underwood focuses his practice on business, real estate, estate planning.
Underwood has served as a foster care manager, as well as a research assistant and an extern for Judge John Jarvey in Iowa.
He is a member of the Grand Rapids Bar Association and State Bar of Michigan.
He holds a B.A. in psychology from Spring Arbor University and a J.D., Order of the Coif, from the University of Iowa College of Law, which he earned in 2018.
