An architecture firm in the area has outgrown one of its offices.

Walker-based Paradigm Design, which also offers engineering services, moved its Traverse City office across the street, from 333 E. State St. to the TC Lofts building, at 340 E. State St., the firm said last fall.

The new 1,400-square-foot space is a scale up from Paradigm’s previous 330-square-foot office.

The firm has four full-time staff members working in Traverse City, and it plans to add two to four more in 2019.

Paradigm originally opened its Traverse City office in July 2017, the Business Journal previously reported.

The Traverse City office was performing ahead of pace and had outgrown its original location.

Paradigm said it decided to occupy a ground-level office space at TC Lofts after "working closely" with Traverse City-based REI Construction Consultants on the TC Lofts project.

“REI did a terrific job constructing the project and implementing the design to create a wonderful workspace, and we are excited to move in,” said David Hendershott, regional manager, Paradigm Design North.

Paradigm has also added Shem Trapp, N.C.A.R.B., to its Traverse City staff.

Shem is a licensed architect, joining the Paradigm team after relocating from Colorado. He has over 20 years of restaurant architecture experience.

Paradigm Design has 50 employees at its Grand Rapids office.
