A local brewery and a nonprofit are teaming up to tackle childhood hunger.

Perrin Brewing Company’s third-annual Perrin Ice Jam Winter Festival will be on Jan. 26 from 3-8 p.m. at the brewery in Comstock Park, at 5910 Comstock Park Dr. NW.

Proceeds from the event will be donated to Grand Rapids-based Kids’ Food Basket.

The event will feature live music from Sydney Burnham, The Turnips, Legal Immigrants and the Go-Rounds, specialty Perrin beers and the Frostbite 5k Run/Walk.

The race check-in is from noon to 2 p.m., and the race begins at 2 p.m.

People can register online. Online registration will close on Jan. 24.

Registration for the 5k also counts as admission to the festival.

General admission to the festival is either a minimum donation of $10 or a bag of food items from the Kids’ Food Basket wish list:

— Dried fruit
— Toasted oat cereal
— Cheese crackers
— Fruit cups or pouches
— Pretzel twists
— Snack-size zipper bags

Tickets are available online.
