A large group of West Michigan employers are considered some of the best companies to work for in the nation.

The Warren-based National Association of Business Resources, or NABR, announced last month its list of the 2018 Best and Brightest Companies to Work For in the Nation, and 61 West Michigan employers are on the list, up from 58 in 2017.

The awards program honors organizations that display “exceptional human resource practices and an impressive commitment to their employees.”

Companies are assessed based on metrics such as communication, work-life balance, employee education, diversity, recognition, retention and more.

All participating companies receive a complimentary assessment report and benefits throughout the year.

NABR

Founded in 1996, the National Association of Business Resources said it “fosters a collaborative environment in which companies and leaders learn best practices, trends and vital information benefiting the company and its employees well beyond the finances.”

Through its Best and Brightest programs, NABR provides specialized business services, education and resources for businesses throughout the U.S.
