Detroit company acquires tech firm
A metro Detroit tech company has acquired a Grand Rapids firm in the same industry.
Novi-based Red Level acquired the Grand Rapids-based business and technology consultancy C/D/H, effective Feb. 1.
The combined companies will give businesses across Michigan access to a broader array of IT services — including custom application development, business analytics and collaboration tools — all under the Red Level brand.
Terms of the deal were not disclosed.
“C/D/H has an outstanding reputation for providing the best IT services and consulting throughout Michigan for the past 30 years, and Red Level is excited to build upon that strong base,” said David King, CEO, Red Level. “We expect this partnership will create new business in new areas, which will lead to increased hiring and continued growth.”
C/D/H VP Mark Becker will join Red Level as SVP of business development and continue leading the Grand Rapids office.
He plans to guide Red Level’s service expansion into application development, mobile development, business process automation and other areas of C/D/H’s expertise.
“Red Level has a long history of technical excellence and customer service, as well as a large client base and a subscription-based business model that is attractive to many businesses,” Becker said. “Coupled with C/D/H’s expertise, values and character, these synergies will benefit our current and future clients.”
The newly expanded Red Level now has over 50 employees, a presence in two major markets, enhanced customer software development capabilities and a projected annual growth rate of 25 percent.
Red Level offers businesses tech consulting, cloud services, security and managed IT services and partners with tech giants like Microsoft, Dell EMC and VMWare.
