Plastic surgery center opens new space
A plastic surgery center has moved into a new 18,000-square-foot space in Grand Rapids.
The Bengtson Center for Aesthetics & Plastic Surgery relocated to 2155 E. Paris SE this winter, and it is hosting an open house today from 4-7 p.m.
The new space houses Dr. Brad Bengtson’s plastic surgery practice, surgical procedures and non-surgical solutions, such as Botox cosmetic and dermal fillers.
The practice said it outgrew its last location due to a “nearly unprecedented 22-percent growth rate.”
The new center doubles the practice’s aesthetician and non-surgical suites, allowing the team to expand its services and add to its 45 providers.
The space features a number of elements: a lobby; consultation area; 20 exam and treatment rooms; two 4,000-square-foot private operating suites; new Symmetry Med Spa & Laser Center with private injection, skin care and laser suites for men and women; private men’s lounge; and “ample, discreet and easily accessible patient parking.”
“It’s not just a location, but an entirely new experience,” said Anna Bengtson, the practice's marketing director.
Brad Bengtson said the center uses “state-of-the-art surgical technology and techniques” that can shorten procedure times, minimize associated downtime and help accelerate the natural healing process.
Grand Rapids-based AMDG Architects was the architect on the new medical office building. Grand Rapids-based First Companies was the contractor on the building. Kathryn Chaplow was the project's interior designer.
