An architecture firm in the area is expanding out west.

Walker-based Paradigm Design opened an office in Phoenix in the VIVO Building, at 4650 E. Cotton Center Blvd., according to the firm this month.

Paradigm Design will be occupying 1,500 square feet of office space in Phoenix.

The new location is Paradigm’s first outside of Michigan, but with professionals holding licensing in 45 states, the firm has been working on southwestern U.S. and West Coast construction projects for many years.

The firm also offers engineering services.

“The Phoenix market has been growing rapidly over the last few years, and we are excited to have an office in the southwest market,” said Bill Hadlock, principal and CEO, Paradigm Design.

The firm also has an office in Traverse City.

Recently, Paradigm moved its Traverse City office across the street, from 333 E. State St. to the TC Lofts building, at 340 E. State St.

The new 1,400-square-foot space in Traverse City is a scale up from Paradigm’s previous 330-square-foot office there, which it opened in 2017.
