Business Journal names Top Women Owned Businesses finalists
Grand Rapids Business Journal is announcing the 33 finalists for its recognition of Top Women Owned Businesses.
All 33 businesses (and 35 women) will be honored March 19 at the Women Who Mean Business event at Frederik Meijer Gardens and Sculpture Park.
This year’s celebration of women in business is a half-day event.
A pair of discussion panels highlight the morning activities. The first panel will discuss resources available to women in business and features Bonnie Nawara, Grand Rapids Opportunities for Women; Judy Welch, Michigan Women Forward; Sandra Gaddy, Women’s Resource Center; and Elissa Sangalli Hillary, Local First.
The second panel features women CEOs from West Michigan companies sharing their stories. Panelists include Tina Freese Decker, Spectrum Health; Meredith Bronk, Open Systems Technologies; Christina Keller, Cascade Engineering; and Tracey Hornbeck, Legacy Trust.
The awards luncheon for the Top Women Owned Businesses begins at noon.
